Fear is one of the primary attacks of the enemy on us. When we read the Bible, we find that many of God's strongest warriors experienced an ongoing battle with fear. For example, David, the mighty man of valor, captain of the armies of Israel, the one who slew the giant Goliath... He had a close and intimate relationship with the Lord, yet he had many fears. In Psalm 34:4, he says "I sought the LORD, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears." There is a countless list of fears and everyone seems to have them.
2 Timothy 1:7 says, "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind."
There is an interesting verse in 1 Peter which states, "...Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord, whose daughters you are if you do good and are not afraid with any terror" (1 Peter 3:6).
