My wife and I are both actively involved in ministry. We believe ministry
is a lifestyle we are all called to and everything we do should bring glory to our Creator. That includes serving others and telling them about Him.
I love to write and have been writing and compiling writings ever since I became a Christian.
It's important to dream and have dreams. I have dreams the Lord has given me for my future (and even the future of others) and I am trying to get organized and to the place when I can accomplish what the Lord has for me to do, using the gifts and dreams He has given me to fulfill His plan and purpose for my life. I know He has awesome plans for me (He does for all of us) and I am determined to live them out!
We all have an enemy called Satan. Angels and demons are real and I've been involved in casting out demons from people several times. He is also trying to hinder God's plan and purpose for my life.
I'm a techie... what can I say? But it's a love/hate relationship... I love Macs
I grew up as a hacker and now help companies and individuals defend themselves, particularly with wireless technologies which are very insecure.
I LOVE music and it affects me more than anything else emotionally (beside God).
Am getting into it slowly. Wished I had years ago! (like everyone else!)
Powered Paragliding (aka PPG)
An aircraft that costs less than $7,000 that you can easily fit in your trunk and that you can learn to safely operate with five days of training? You bet! Don't have one but would love
to use or have one!
My father's favorite and one of mine... I was raised on the fairways and love golfing!
Always liked but never developed a consistant serve. Have courts nearby but never play.
Love to play and have courts nearby but don't play much.
Loved and still love. I get that "runner's high" too, kinda like when I eat a lot of hot sauce and get an endorphin rush!
Love it but only on other people's yachts/sailboats! :) Two words: "Money Pit." My brother-in-law is looking to purchase one so hopefully I can get my fix there.
Always liked well-made antiques in good condition, especially dark woods. I have hundreds of antique leatherbound books going back to the 16th century (1500's) which I have collected since my teens.
Have always loved and appreciated good sound! Am selling my old stereo equipment soon to consolidate and upgrade.
I'm a "techie" and love gadgets/electronics. I love Apple products and use my MacBook Pro and iPhone constantly.
Started when I bought a Canon
EOS 300D Digital Rebel SLR camera, followed by my wife's Olympus Stylus 720 SW. Both of these are amazing cameras... The key is to know how to use them!
My mother got me into cooking and gourmet food! I've become pretty lazy when it comes to cooking but am known for my grilling expertise. I am called "The Grillmaster" my those around me. I also wrote a humourous article called "The Theology of BBQ
Food and Wine
I used to enjoy cooking, I even thought about being a chef, but I realized what I really want is just to eat good food, not neccesarily to cook it. I have also appreciated good wine, have an excellent palate, and I worked in the wine industry for a while tasting wine and as a wine rep. I even ran food and wine blogs during this time. I still love food and wine, and sometimes go to events and tastings, but I no longer work in the industry.
My father used to smoke cigars and eventually I tried them and liked them. This is admittedly controversial but let me explain, and you might see it differently. Cigars have a bad reputation from cigarettes but they are totally different. Cigarettes are dangerous but if cigars are smoked properly, they are not. Harmful chemicals are added to cigarettes, they are addictive (nicotine), the tobacco isn't fermented and cigarettes are inhaled into the lungs. Cigars should never be inhaled, the tobacco is fermented and aged which breaks down the nicotine, ammonia, etc, and nothing should ever be added to premium cigars. When smoked properly and in moderation, cigar and pipe smokers actually statistically live longer than non-smokers. From a Biblical perspective there is nothing wrong with smoking cigars or pipe tobacco, and even Charles Spurgeon smoked cigars until the day he died from complications of gout and Bright's disease
. Please go to my page http://cigarevaluations.com/enjoying-cigars/
for more information and I have also written a humourous article on "The Theology of Cigars
Studied all of the major ones but nothing even compares to Christianity which is completely unique. I am particularly concerned with Islam
and see it playing a significant role in these last days.
Have always appreciated logic and debate, two of my favorites in school.
One of my favorites in school. I loved studying different philosophies and other points of view.
Wasn't my favorite but only because I'm selective. Love Biblical and ancient history.
Fascinating study. There's a lot behind a name! Look at God's Name!
I really enjoy going on mission trips and enjoy learning about other countries.
I'm fascinated by other cultures and love to learn about them, and in particular visit!
One of my greatest loves and how I would choose to spend extra money on my family and I.
Love this discipline but selective. Used to be a full-time "daytrader" and always loved the markets. This is a link to what was one of my favorite "tools" and it was free!
I can really enjoy shopping but it can be exhausting to me. Click link for my favorite place to shop... no surprises there.
Have always loved eBay and have bought a number of things from it. Now I need to start selling!
Always loved exotic cars, particularly Ferrari
but will probably never own one, beside maybe a kit car or an incredible deal if I ever find one. I have two friends that make money buying and selling exotics but I can convince my wife to buy the first one! lol
Hard to find a movie these days so I keep watching the same ones over and over.
I fell in love with rock climbing when I lived in KY, almost killed myself but would still go anytime. There's just no mountains in FLORIDA! :(
No caves in Florida either! :( I really loved doing this! In Kentucky, right near my school, there was an awesome and huge cave that I explored over dozens of trips. I explored sections that people probably had never been by moving rocks and swimming underwater. I would love to do this again... Lots of fun!
We do have a lot of beaches and I would like to start this up again... There are some nice rings out there!
This is an interesting hobby, especially with children. One of the few times I used my GPS.
One of my few hobbies. I collect old leather and vellum-bound books from the 1800's and earlier, any subject. I'll try to get to posting my collection on here. If you have any old books, let me know. I love to read them too!
Have always loved art and enjoy painting (particularly oil). Will probably take it up when I retire.
And last but not least, spending time with my wife Yvethe! Click here to find out more about us.
