Why This Site?
This site, despite the domain name (toddtyszka.com) is not at all for self-gratification. The Bible says, "This is what the LORD says: Let not the wise man boast of his wisdom or the strong man boast of his strength or the rich man boast of his riches, but let him who boasts boast about this: that he understands and knows me, that I am the LORD, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight," declares the LORD" (Jeremiah 9:23, 24). "But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him. It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. Therefore, as it is written: "Let him who boasts boast in the Lord (1 Corinthians 1:27-31)." The only purpose of this website is for me to, in a personal, organized and interesting way, help you get to know your Creator and the One you can spend the rest of eternity with.
I started to put some writings on an older version of this website and I was amazed how many people found the writings and wrote me. All of the emails I received were positive and it opened up the opportunity to help a lot of people. One of my writings in particular, "Seeking God's Face" drew a lot of attention and when I did a Google search on the subject, I found I was at the top with only a few sites talking about it at all. A site like this is a rarity and I decided to use my gifts, my knowledge and teaching abilities to educate people and hopefully lead people into a thriving relationship with Jesus Christ.
According to experts, we are bombarded with an average of 35,000 messages every single day. Everyone is trying to get your attention. I encourage you to filter out the noise and focus on the Word of God (the Holy Bible). Unfortunately a lot of the messages we have heard aren't true. Adolf Hitler once said, "What luck for rulers that men do not think." I encourage you to take your time going through this site and to really think about these topics.
On a personal note, I believe God clearly called me to make this website and that my life has been a prepraration. I have tried to write as clearly and simply as possible, so that everyone can understand what are often difficult concepts to comprehend. This website represents what I completely base my life upon, which is the Word of God. You will see from this website that we can have complete confidence in the Bible. I have thoroughly studied and understand the minor "errors" in the Bible, and I also know that with the tens of thousands of manuscripts and fragments which all essentially say the same, we know what was originally written with certainty, and we can have complete faith that it is the very Word of God to us. The Bible has stood the test of time and not one thing has been proven false in it, unlike every other religious text. In addition to the logic and reasons presented in this site, I know Christianity is true because God's Spirit lives in me and assures me that it is true. I understand that sounds subjective but if you are sincerely seeking God, God can give you that same assurance that He is real and Chrsitianity is true. If you don't find the reasons and logic in this site convincing, that's my fault, not God's. Regardless of what you think about my site or my arguments for Christianity, God loves you more than you can imagine, yet holds you ultimately accountable. God has revealed Himself to you every day throughout your lifetime. You either desire Him or want nothing to do with Him (Mt 6:24), and your eternity will be sealed either way the moment you die. I do my best to present the "whole counsel of God (Acts 20:27)" but ultimately you will have to deal with your Creator, the Holy God Himself, and not with arguments. At the moment of your death, which could be this very moment, your eternity will be sealed based on your relationship with Jesus Christ (Matthew 7:21-23). Time is running out. Let’s assume that the average person dies at 70 years old. If you are 20 years old, you have just 2,500 weekends left to live. If you have turned 30, you have 2,000 weekends left until the day you die. If you are 40 years old, you have only 1,500 weekends left. If you are 50, then you have just 1,000 weekends, and if you are 60, you have a mere 500 weekends left until the day death comes to you. Tomorrow is not promised to you, so I encourage you to experience a genuine conversion right now.
If you do not know the God who created you and have a personal relationship with him, I encourage you to change that right now. God loves you more than you could ever imagine and He has been waiting for you to open the door and let him into your life. However, He is perfectly holy and your prayers cannot reach him as long as you are in your sin. Isaiah 59:1 says "Surely the arm of the Lord is not too short to save, nor His ear too dull to hear. But your iniquities has separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that He will not hear." You must first accept the forgiveness that Jesus provides through His death on the cross. He was the perfect sacrifice, which allows you to come to have a relationship with Him.
Isaiah 57:15 says, "For this is what the high and lofty One says - he who lives forever, whose name is Holy: 'I live in a high and holy place, but also with him who is contrite and lowly in spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly, and to revive the heart of the contrite.'"
Here is a prayer that you can pray so that you can decide this moment to ask God to forgive you for all of your sins and you can begin to have a relationship with Him. There is nothing "magic" about these particular words — it is the attitude of your heart that God cares about. When you are truly converted, God will radically transform you from the inside out. You will think and feel differently as you learn to trust and obey Him. God will give you new strength through His Holy Spirit for you to live right and love Him more than anything else. You can trust God — He loves you and will always be faithful. Now please pray these words, for you might not get another chance:
"Dear God, I confess that I have sinned against you by violating your Law. I know that you are perfectly holy and righteous, and if you were to judge me now based on your Law, I would be guilty. But because you are rich in mercy and have provided a Savior, I can be forgiven through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. I ask you to forgive me for all of my sins. I surrender my life to Jesus and trust Him alone for my salvation. I now turn from all of my sinful ways (tell God the sins you think of). I ask you now to change my life and be my Lord and Savior, for I have decided from this day forever, to follow you. In Jesus Name, Amen."
Now it is essential that you find a good Bible-teaching church where you will grow in your faith with the help of others (Hebrews 10:25). Buy a Bible (if you don't have one) in a translation you can understand, for example, the New International Version (NIV) or the New King James Version (NKJV), and start to read it daily. I recommend you start in the New Testament in the book of John. Also, please let me know that you have made this decision by contacting me! I also encourage you to tell others about this website and if you are a believer, make a website of your own! It doesn't have to be this elaborate and you do not have to design it at all. You just have to provide the content and someone can help you build it and get it on the Internet. People need to hear how you found Christ and be persuaded (2 Corinthians 5:11) to know Him personally (Mt 7:21-23). A website stands as a testament to who you are and most importantly, a witness to who Christ is, and what He has done for us. Like baptism, it is a public confession of an inward work, for all to see and hopefully, they will know Christ better through it.
"To him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy — to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen (Jude 24 NIV)."

Psalm 71:17 - "Since my youth, O God, you have taught me, and to this day I declare your marvelous deeds. Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, O God, till I declare your power to the next generation, your might to all who are to come."
